Privacy Policy for the Versatile PlantUML Plugin

This Privacy Policy applies to both the Confluence and Jira Versatile PlantUML Plugins and the Versatile PlantUML Renderer app for monday.com supplied by Purple Rhapsody Tech.

Data Retention Policy

This add-on does not collect any user data whatsoever. This includes but is not limited to:

  • User Identifiers

  • Login Credentials

  • Usage statistics

  • Any Confluence or Jira content from outside the add-on

  • The PlantUML entered into Confluence or Jira add-ons

  • The image generated by the add-on

For Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence)

Data Storage for Version 2 and above for Jira

No data is stored on the Purple Rhapsody Tech servers for version 2 and above of the Jira plugin.

Data Storage for all other versions on Jira and Confluence

The only data stored by these add-ons on the Purple Rhapsody Tech servers is a client identification key used by Atlassian to identify a valid installation of the add-on. This does not contain any user-identifiable information and is used to prevent unauthorised use of the add-on.

Further information

For all versions the add-on is essentially a pass-through service where the image is rendered in real time from Purple Rhapsody Tech's own PlantUML server and returned directly to Confluence or Jira without any of the information being stored on any server.

For monday.com

Two types of data are stored on Purple Rhapsody Tech servers:

  • a client identification key used by monday.com to identify a valid installation of the app. This does not contain any user-identifiable information and is used to prevent unauthorised use of the app.

  • for each set of diagrams stored against an Item or a Board an encrypted version of the text entered to create the diagrams is stored to enable faster re-display/creation of the diagrams. This data is encrypted at rest and in transit and is only transported over SSL connections.

Data Security

All data sent from Confluence, Jira, or monday.com to the add-on/app is sent over SSL connection, and all information sent from the add-on/app to the rendering server is also then encrypted. No plain text information is sent from Confluence, Jira, or monday.com to the add-on/app and every request to the add-on/app has to pass authentication using the client identification key mentioned in the Data Retention Policy above.
